Early discovery agreement with B-COS

At Nichino, we are continuously exploring new crop protection solutions that can support more sustainable food production.

Today, we can proudly announce an early discovery collaboration with B-COS, a Ghent university spin off developing biological crop protection products. With this collaboration we will evaluate the agronomic potential of the solutions developed by B-COS.

Derogations for Kendo and Mizuki – GR

Nichino can announce that Greek authorities have granted a derogation for Kendo on peach and nectarine against eriophyid mites.
The permission is valid from 4th March to 30th May.

Additionally, an emergency authorisation was obtained for Mizuki on alfalfa against dodder (Cuscuta spp).
The derogation is valid from 10th March to 08th July.

Extended use of Mizuki – PT and IT

Nichino has received a new registration decision from Portugal extending the use of Mizuki to citrus, pomegranate, kaki and intercrop uses as well as pre-sowing and pre-emergence uses on cereals, sunflower, maize, soybean and sorghum.

Also, Nichino can report a label extension for Mizuki as seedbed use on soybean, maize, sunflower, sorghum, winter cereals and intercrop uses in Italy.

Nichino secures exclusive distribution rights for the molluscicide Vitrol

Nichino is pleased to announce that it has obtained the exclusive distribution rights for “Vitrol”, a molluscicide with a new and unique active ingredient for the European market.

Registration of Mizuki – Morocco

Nichino can announce that Mizuki obtained the registration as a desiccant on potatoes and as a herbicide for the use on citrus.

Marbar Chimie will launch Mizuki in Morocco.
