Nichino Europe Study Tour

June saw an excellent 2 days of visits from AMC-TR Turkey with some 12 potato experts, key to the potato market in Turkey, invited. The study trip involved 1 day at Belchim Crop Protection Londerzeel Trial Station with focus on Moncut potato seed treatment, the 2nd day involved a visit to De Aardappelhoeve in Tielt, a potato processing & packaging facility, followed by a visit to the potato machinery manufacturer Dewulf in Roeselare.  Both days were very informative and were much appreciated by our guests.

New emergency registration for Ortus 5 SC in Hungary

The Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office (NEBIH) announced that growers can use fenpyroximate-based formulation Ortus 5 SC in green beans and in soybean grown for seed-production. Ortus 5 SC is sold by Sumi Agro Hungary.

Derogation of “Flash UM” on almonds in Spain

Nichino Europe and our distribution partner Sipcam Iberia announce that the Spanish authorities have granted a derogation for the exceptional use of Fenpyroximate 5.12% (sold as “Flash UM”) on almond trees against leafhopper Empoasca decedens and red mite Panonychus ulmi.

Derogation of “Evolution” on pomegranate in Italy

Sipcam Italia has obtained an emergency use on Pomegranate for pyraflufen-based product “Evolution” for sucker control.

Re-registration of “Dinamite” in Portugal

After a voluntary-worksharing evaluation, and following RMS Spain, Portugal has finished its review for Fenpyroximate-based product named “Dinamite”. The label has extended to include a number of new crops.

“OS-169” derogation to soybean in Italy

Nichino Europe together with our distribution partner Certis Europe BV have announced that Pyraflufen-ethyl formulation OS-169 has obtained derogation for a period of 120 days, starting from 24th April 2018, for use on soybeans for control of Amaranthus species.

Re-registration of “Kendo SC” in Cyprus

A.Ν. Nicolaou Agrochemicals Co Ltd has obtained re-registration for fenpyroximate-based formulation “Kendo SC” in Cyprus. Further crops have been authorized as label extensions, providing a much wider label.
