2018 Nichino Europe Workshops held in Prague

Nichino Europe have successfully held their 12^th Flutolanil and Pyraflufen-ethyl workshops in the city of Prague in the country of Czechia.  The venue this year was the ball room of the Grand Hotel Bohemia a quite spectacular room for such meetings

This is an annual event held to exchange development ideas between Nichino Europe and its European partners in order to further develop and grow these two key molecules. The workshops were held over three days and attended by 26 delegates representing 10 Partners responsible for 95% of the European business for these two molecules. From Nichino Europe there were 8 delegates representing Development, Regulatory and Operations plus 3 delegates from Nihon Nohyaku company who were visiting Europe at the time and contributed to the workshops with interesting presentations

As some delegates are not involved with both products, the first day-and-a-half was dedicated to the Pyraflufen-ethyl workshop followed the next day by Flutolanil with new delegates arriving the day before.

During the three days many subjects were discussed with presentations from partners on new developments, market and competitor product information and results of trials work supporting each molecule. Nichino Europe in return presented newly generated trial data, as well as regulatory updates.

Nichino Europe Co., Ltd. supports local community in Cambridge

We, at Nichino Europe, are very pleased to be supporting a local charity, Tom’s Trust.

Tom’s Trust is a charity set up to help children diagnosed with brain tumours.  They provide them and their families with the support they need. The charity is based in Cambridge, UK and supports children receiving treatment at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and other UK hospitals.

Great interest in ALBIS at Cotton Field Day “Expo Algodón” in Lebrija, Spain

Repeating its success, the major event for the cotton sector in Spain - “Expo Algodón” - took place for the fifth time in Sevilla region on 18^th September. 

This field day is organized by the main companies active in the cotton business, where they present their solutions for varieties, fertilization, herbicides, as well as for insecticides and desiccation strategies.

Belchim Crop Protection España participated for another year and presented with great success their cotton desiccation product ALBIS (pyraflufen 2.65 % EC). There was a huge interest from more than 1.000 attendees, including advisors, cooperative technicians, farmers and officials. 

The organization of the event and the general atmosphere was exceptional, according to most of the attendants. 

The achievement after these first 5 years of experience was obvious. Congratulations!

Re-registration of "Kendo" in Greece

On 6^th September and after finishing a voluntary-worksharing evaluation, Greek Authorities have published the re-registration certificate for our Fenpyroximate-based product, now named as “Kendo® UM 5,12 SC" and distributed by KNE Certis.  

The new registration number of the product is: 2199/6-9-2018. The label has been extended to include a number of new crops.
